Rheinmetall to protect new Naval port

A multiphase contract to protect an international Naval port has been awarded to Rheinmetall. It includes the installation of state-of-the-art sensor and advanced command and control technology and software to protect equipment from unauthorized access, damage and sabotage. Work will begin in 2018 and is expected to be completed in 2021.

CAMM completes qualification trials

Growth and continued hiring for MBDA in 2018

UK backs MBDA’s Brimstone missile to 2030 and beyond

ANZAC frigate arrives in Victoria for modernization

Lockheed Martin Canada has signed a formal contract with the New Zealand government for ship installation and trials to complete the upgrade and modernization of the ANZAC class frigates. The first of two frigates, Her Majesty’s New Zealand Ship (HMNZS) Te Kaha arrived in Victoria, BC on March 6.

Naval Group transfer of technology to Brazil

Brazilian President Michel Temer was present for the transfer of the Riachuelo diesel-Electric attack submarine to its assembly hall in Itaguai, Brazil. French shipbuilder Naval Group completed the transfer of technology for the ProSub programme, which provides the country with state-of-the-art equipment made in Brazil, and provide ongoing support as needed.

US awards frigate concept design

For its pending FFG(X) acquisition of 20 frigates, the U.S. Government has awarded a contract to the United States shipyard General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, supported by the Spanish ship designer and shipyard Navantia, for a conceptual design.
