Former CEO of Australian Shipbuilding Company, Mark Lamarre, has been named Chief Executive Officer of Seaspan Shipyards, effective immediately. Lamarre succeeds Brian Carter, who has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.

Airbus Helicopters delivers four H125s to NS
Airbus has delivered four H125 helicopters to Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources. The aircraft will help increase service capacity for a wide range of NSDNR missions including search and rescue, forestry programs, wildlife and geological surveys, as well as firefighting.

Airbus Helicopters delivers first H145s to Rega
Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first two of a total of six H145 helicopters to Swiss Air-Rescue Rega. These will replace Rega’s existing fleet of EC145 helicopters, which will be phased out by mid-2019. The first H145 helicopter is expected to be deployed at the Bern base in October.

Lockheed Martin extension for Halifax Class Frigates
Lockheed Martin Canada has been awarded a three-year extension to its In-Service Support contract for the Royal Canadian Navy’s 12 Halifax Class Frigates.
