Maj ROBERT DAY War Studies

Since retiring from his position as Logistics Officer in the Canadian Air Force (2004), Major Robert Day continues his passion for research and military analysis as a military historian. His military service has included posting in almost every region of the country and in Canadian Forces Europe. He has several degrees including an MA in War Studies from RMC where he was the Hunt Prize winner as the top graduate of his graduating year.

STEVEN DE LISI Hazardous Materials Specialist

Steven M. De Lisi, retired after 27 years in the fire service, including as Deputy Chief for the Virginia Air National Guard Fire Rescue at the Richmond (VA) International Airport. He is a hazardous materials specialist, an adjunct instructor for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs, and a former member of the NFPA committee on hazardous materials protective clothing. Over the years he has provided on-scene assistance to hazmat first responders.

JENN DONAHUE Leadership, engineering and seismic analysis

With 25 years in the U.S. Navy, Jenn Donahue became a leadership coach, engineer, and entrepreneur. She has led operations around the globe, spearheaded earthquake and tsunami reconnaissance missions in Samoa and Japan, and designed the seismic plans for a bridge over the Panama Canal. She later founded JL Donahue Engineering, a globally recognized seismic analysis and engineering firm. Known as the “Earthquake Doc,” she has served as the seismology expert at five nuclear power plants. Donahue has served on professional boards such as EERI (Earthquake Engineering Research Institute) and USGS (United States Geological Survey) and is a lecturer at UC Berkeley and UCLA.

MARK DUNCAN Transportation Safety

A former Air Force pilot, Mark Duncan is a Professional Engineer with a Masters in Public Admin from Carleton University and a degree from Royal Military College. He was Deputy Airport General Manager at Toronto International Airport, and later chosen as Regional Director General with regulatory responsibility for all modes of transportation in Vancouver. Following 9/11, he led a team that built the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) from the ground up. He is currently President of AeroEdge Consulting Inc. specializing in security and aviation related projects. 

Chief (ret) VINCE DUNN Author

Chief Vincent Dunn, FDNY (ret), is the author of Collapse of Burning Buildings (Fire Engineering, Revised 2010) and Safety and Survival on the Fireground (Fire Engineering, 1992) and Command and Control of Fires and Emergencies (Fire Engineering (2000), and his most recent text book Strategy of Firefighting (2007). TIM DUNNE Military Affairs, Nova Scotia Intergov Affairs

A former Military Affairs Advisor with the NS Department of Intergovernmental Affairs, Tim is a retired Cdn military PA officer with 37 years of service. He served with NATO’s peace support missions in Bosnia Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Albania and Kosovo. Since retiring, he has written extensively for the Chronical Herald and FrontLine magazine.
