W. H. (BUD) GARRICK Security Consulting

W.H. (Bud) Garrick has more than 30 years of experience in police and security operations both domestically and internationally. He retired from the Canadian Forces Military Police, after 27 years, at the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Upon retirement he assumed the position of Deputy Director General for Criminal Intelligence Service Canada. He remains active in security consulting at Presidia Security Consulting and Lansdowne Technologies.

ANGELA GENDRON Counterterroism & Counterintelligence

A Senior Fellow at the Canadian Centre of Intelligence and Security Studies, Carleton University, and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies in the UK, Angela's fields of research relate to counterterrorism; counterintelligence; domestic overhead surveillance using unmanned aerial systems; cyber security strategy; and critical infrastructure protection.

DAVID GEWIRTZ Email Security

David Gewirtz is the Cyberterrorism Advisor for the Int'l Association for Counter-terrorism & Security Professionals and a columnist for the Journal of Counter-terrorism and Homeland Security. He is a member of the FBI's InfraGard program, the security partnership between the FBI and industry. He is also a member of the National Defense Industrial Association, the leading defense industry association promoting national security.

MARK GILLAN Emergency Management, Fire Rescue

A firefighter, HazMat technician, and Fire Rescue specialist, Mark finished his 26-year career with the Fire Service in the position of Deputy Chief and Director of the Saint John Emergency Management Organization. He went on to co-found Emergency Solutions International (ESI), and has led teams of ESI personnel to assist corporations prepare resiliency strategies. He has conducted over 150 corporate validation exercises and evaluations around the world.

BLAIR GILMORE Maritime Search and Rescue

Blair Gilmore is a retired naval officer with 20 years of public service between the Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Canadian Navy. He was one of the first trained Rescue Specialists of the Coast Guard’s Dive Rescue Team located in Richmond, BC. In 2007, he rejoined the military as a pilot and later became a MARS officer. Currently, he is a research fellow for the Royal United Services Institute of NS.

SHAWN GOUDGE Aviation Security

Shawn Goudge is the Regional Manager Aviation Security for Africa and the Middle East with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) based in Amman Jordan. Having specialized in aviation security since 2006, he joined IATA from the Canadian Department of Transport in January 2019. His expertise includes the fields of compliance, audit, inspection, training, project delivery, regulation and policy. He has worked extensively in Canada and has deployed operationally to multiple locations around the world with significant experience in the Middle East Region. He is certified by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as Aviation Security Professional Manager (AVSEC-PM) having completed the required training at Concordia University.  He is also certified Aviation Security Auditor and Instructor with ICAO.

MIKE GREENLEY Simulation Systems

Mike is Group President at MDA Corporation. Prior to this, he was President of CAE Professional Services. Mike's service career over the past 15 years has focused on simulation based analysis, design, testing, and training, and on the definition of integrated professional services that exhibit these principles in support of systems and capability engineering. Mike is a member of a number of human factors and modeling & simulation societies.
